KING’S Park Academy have described their recent harvest festival as the most successful ever, as a large audience watched the performance.
Key stage 2 pupils joined in a celebration of food with a performance that included singing, story-telling, artwork and even rapping. The show involved over 100 pupils.
Headteacher, Becky O’ Brien said, “It has been a huge success. The children performed exceptionally well and the audience seemed to enjoy it. We have been really well supported this year as that was the largest turn-out I have ever seen from parents. We are also very grateful for the dried food donations made by the parents which will go to the Melksham Foodbank.”
Samantha Inkpen who was amongst the audience said, “I thought it was really good. The children have done very well and everybody enjoyed it. It’s clear a lot of hard work went into the performance and they should be proud of themselves.”
The school also held a collection which raised £55.20 and will go to the Melksham Foodbank
