Are you looking for a community project to apply your skills to? Would you like to gain new skills and experience? 

Whether you’ve got a few hours a month or a day a week there’s a volunteering opportunity out there to suit you. One such volunteer said, “I enjoyed feeling part of the team and knowing that my skills were useful and valued.”

Here are just a few opportunities within the local area: Craft Volunteer: Wiltshire Scrapstore and Resource Centre promotes learning through creativity by making various low cost resources available to the community. Working as part of their social enterprise team, you will be producing shapes and craft packs using donated materials that are used to create items to sell in their shops.

Summer Heritage Camp Volunteers: Community Service Volunteer are holding heritage camps across the UK this summer.  You’ll spend a week volunteering to help preserve or restore a famous cathedral, church or historic building and doing your bit to protect architectural heritage. You’ll get some great experience for your CV, make new friends, have a lot of fun and get the opportunity to make a difference to some of the most spectacular buildings in Britain.

Marketing Volunteer:  Friends of Biss Meadows need a Marketing volunteer to help promote their hard work to the wider public enabling them to continue to care for Biss Meadows. Volunteer Reading Coaches: Organisation Read Easy are seeking volunteer reading coaches to help teach adults with low reading skills to read.
