THE Kings Arms’ Autumn Ball will take place on Saturday 26th September and is set to be a glamorous evening of entertainment to raise money for charity, the RUH Forever Friends appeal.
Landlord Jade Lundean said, “We were approached by Bev Viveash to see if we would host a fundraising event for the charity. We were more than happy to help, we’ve got a great relationship with Bev and whenever we can we support her.
“Since sadly losing her daughter Nicola to cancer in 2013, Bev has dedicated her time to fundraising for the Forever Friends appeal. It’s a worthy cause that we are proud to support.
“It’s going to be a really glamorous evening, with a three-course meal prepared by our chef, music from the brilliant Decibelles and a disco so you can dance the night away.
“If you haven’t been to one of our events before, come along and see what we can do. It’s not just another fundraiser, it will be a sophisticated evening with great food and entertainment and all for a great cause. By just buying your ticket, you’ve already contributed to the charity.
“We will also have a raffle on the night with some great prizes to win. We’ve approached businesses in the town to see if they would be kind enough to donate a prize and have had a good response so far, but if anyone else would like to donate a prize we would really appreciate any help.
“We would love to raise £1,500 for the charity but of course any amount is fantastic. They do such amazing work and although they are based in Bath, they have helped so many people in and around Melksham. You never know when you may need their help and support because unfortunately so many people are affected by cancer.
“Melksham has such a fantastic community spirit and so we would love people to get behind the event. Even if you can’t come along to the evening, there are other ways to donate.
“It’s going to be a great evening for a great cause, so please join us and help raise money for an important charity.”
Tickets are limited due to space so don’t miss out and get your ticket now. Tickets cost just £25 which includes a three-course meal. Call Jade for more information on 707272.
