Local author publishes fourth book

A local author is celebrating success after publishing her fourth book in a series of fantasy fiction.

‘Khalia’s Tomb’ is the latest adventure in The Skull Chronicles, which tell the history of 13 ancient mystical crystal skulls brought to Earth by highly advanced benevolent races from across the galaxy and beyond, linked by that of the ordinary woman chosen by them to share those stories.

Dawn Henderson, known to her readers as D.K., has lived in Melksham for over 15 years and recently moved to Bromham. She is the author of The Skull Chronicles, a series of novels about the mystical crystal skulls.

Dawn has been inspired by the magical county of Wiltshire, including its crop circles and the ancient stone monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury. She has also written ‘Forgotten Wings’, a guidebook to spiritual growth and personal transformation.

A special book signing took place at The Henge Shop in Avebury on 25th September, complete with Dawn’s crystal skulls making their own appearance at the bookshop.

Dawn was born and grew up in Plymouth and relocated to Wiltshire in 1989 where she wrote her first novel in 2012. An interest in crystal skulls led to the series of books and book 5 in the series is already in the planning stage.

Dawn said, “I have an interest in all things mystical and spiritual. The idea of writing about crystal skulls first came to me after a series of synchronicities brought them into my life. I love the possibility that our world and its history is more than it seems, I have no doubt there is a wide range of life forms out there in the universe, and I am enthralled by the crystal skulls. Putting all those together, writing Lost Legacy, the first book in the series, just sort of happened.”

Khalia’s Tomb is available to purchase at the Henge Shop in Avebury or from Amazon in both paperback and Kindle format.
