Breakthrough summer for local author

Melksham author Ted Tayler has had an exciting summer.

The fifth book in The Phoenix series ‘The Price of Treachery’ was published in August; two factions vie for superiority within the Olympus Project. The Olympians and the Titans are in a power struggle. There are scores to be settled with unscrupulous landlords in London; a traitor inside Larcombe Manor to be uncovered. There is a new life to protect as Athena prepares to become a mother. The Phoenix needs his wits about him and all of his skills to keep his colleagues and loved ones safe. If the final battle is lost, the Titans will take the organisation into a darker direction altogether. Their ultimate aim is to overthrow democracy in the UK. Who will win the day? The action never slows… the tension never slackens.

Ted said, “I’ve started writing the next title in the series ‘A New Dawn’ and it will be ready for Christmas. The Phoenix Club continues to attract new members to my mailing list and this summer saw a real breakthrough in sales.

“At the end of May, after being with the same book promoter for two years, I decided to switch to pastures new. What a good move that proved to be! Since the last few days in June, where I achieved almost fifteen hundred downloads over three days, the numbers across all of my titles have accelerated and fingers crossed, this will continue for some time to come.

Both of the first two books in The Phoenix series have featured in the Top Ten Crime Thrillers rankings on Amazon.

“The spike in popularity encouraged me to publish eight of my titles in paperback from mid-September, so whether you’re a digital reader, or prefer the ‘old school’ physicality of a book, they’re now available for you at the click of a button on Amazon.”
