Owners of Lowden Garden Centre, at Shaw, Jonathan and Alison Sinclair, joined The Wiltshire Air Ambulance 100 Club earlier this year. The club is an exclusive club for businesses that pledge to raise £10,000 for the new airbase at Semington.
Lowden have organised a series of events to raise the amount pledged. The first event took place on 20th May to which 120 people enjoyed an evening of Spanish guitar music and dinner. Internationally- renowned classical guitarist John Mill and his wife Cobie Smit gave an enchanting performance, which was complemented by a Spanish-themed dinner.
On 1st July there will be a Charity Summer Dinner and Auction in the marquee. Tickets are priced at £45 per person and will include a champagne reception, three-course dinner and a live jazz band. Auction lots include a stay at Tomjachu Bush Lodge in South Africa; a private tour of Highgrove gardens (donated by WAA Patron The Duchess of Cornwall); a Parker coat and leather boots from Juicy Couture, and other fun and exciting items.
On 17th and 18th November Lowden will kick start Christmas with a bazaar, when the marquee will be filled with stands selling food, Christmas decorations, gifts, toys and home interiors.
Valerie Whistler, partnerships coordinator commented, “We are absolutely delighted that Lowden Garden Centre have chosen to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance Airbase Appeal by joining the 100 Club. The Spanish Guitar Evening was wonderful and we are looking forward to attending the other events planned.
“We still need to raise nearly £1million to complete our new airbase in Semington, so we encourage everyone to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Lowden Garden Centre by coming along.”
