Enigma twirl team get set for carnival season

AFTER last year’s success on the carnival circuit, Melksham-based Enigma Twirl Team are opening their doors again for this year’s carnival season.

Tanya Denning, troupe leader said, “Once again you will not be disappointed with the theme and ‘wow’ factor that the troupe will put on, with the added bonus of having lots of fun and making new friends along the way.

“Last season the team had their most successful to date and what a year it will be to remember, what with all the rain!

“Our competition team has also been working extremely hard and come away with 23 top 6 places out of the 35 entered at the first RDTA (Rhythmic Dance Twirl Association) competition held in Trowbridge. This is an outstanding achievement for the team as they now compete against very experienced troupes who compete under the NBTA (National Baton Twirling Association), whose training regime is a lot more intense and time-consuming.

“We are holding an open evening on Thursday 24th May, at the Manor School Melksham 5pm -7pm. Boys and girls are welcome of 4 years of age and up.

“Enigma is also looking for a sponsor for this year’s carnival season. If any local business is able to help, please get in contact with me via 07702 808079 or enigmatwirlteam@gmail.com.”
