Melksham’s war memorial restored

THE repairs and restoration of Melksham’s war memorial in Canon Square have been completed.

The work was carried out by local stonemason Jim Wheel. Deputy town clerk, Clare Harris, said, “I hope you will agree that it looks fantastic. Our thanks to the stonemasons for a great job.”

The war memorial will play a central part in the town’s upcoming Remembrance weekend in November that will mark 100 years since the end of World War One.
