Family fun planned for Seend Village Fete

Celebrate the summer at the traditional annual Seend Village Fete, which is now into its 59th year. The fete will be held on the Seend Lye Field, on Saturday 11th August from 1.00pm – 5.00pm with parking on site, marshalled by the Melksham Cadets.

Organisers say, “This year we have paid special attention to our kids’ entertainment. We have invited the amazing ‘Super Pirates’ who are a committed team of playworkers, actors and childcare professionals. They are specialists in creating awesome occasions for children and families! We’d recommend you bring a change of clothes as these guys like to make a mess!

“Dave and Chloe are hosting the petting farm. Jim Chick is showing off his birds of prey and we have all the firm fete favourites, such as our miniature train, classic cars, tombola, grand draw, face painting, the bar and Pimm’s tent and much, much more.

“Entertainment comes from Fantasy Radio on the airwaves, Betsy Harmony is bringing her vintage vocals to the stage and the Melksham Rock’n’Rollers will be showing us the ropes, with an afternoon of dance demonstrations.”

The event is in partnership with Altfield.
