ACTIVITIES, games, films and great company are all on the agenda for Melksham Seniors’ regular club meetings in the coming weeks.
Once a month on the first Monday of the month, the Seniors meet at Forest Community Centre to enjoy a wide range of outdoor and indoor games and activities that not only help to improve health, but also plenty of laughs.
October’s meeting will be on the 1st October and will coincide with the International Day for Older People and will be a special fun day.
Every Thursday, the Melksham Seniors Activity & Social Club meet at the Riverside Club from 10.30am to 12.15pm.
On Thursday 13th September, the sessions will start with a short presentation about the role of the Independent Living Centre in Semington, where you can obtain free advice around special equipment available to help you have a far better living with an arthritic or mobility problem.
President for the Seniors, Brain Warwick says, “People can look forward to a wide range of fun activities, interesting speakers, discussions and an ever new evolving range of healthy activities, all sure to put a smile on your face.”
This month the Seniors will be hosting their next film screening at the Assembly Hall on Monday 17th September of ‘Finding your Feet’, the feel-good film of the year, a hilarious and heart-warming modern comedy, a colourful group of defiant and energetic ‘baby boomers’ show Sandra that retirement is only the beginning, and that divorce might just give her a whole new lease of life – and love! Film starts at 2pm with doors open from 1.30pm.
