A FAMILY fun day and evening will be held at the Melksham Liberal Club later this month to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the Wiltshire Blackball Pool Federation.
The money raised for the Wiltshire Blackball Pool Federation will go towards supporting their two youth teams to compete at a national level.
The event will be held on Saturday 24th November. The fun starts in the afternoon with a number of games for people to get involved in, including speed pool, skittles, darts and curling. There will also be a tombola and stalls. The afternoon event runs from 1pm until 4pm. Entry costs £3, with a chance to buy extra games throughout the afternoon. After a break, the fun starts again with a family disco and quiz from 7.30pm. Entry costs £3 and includes nibbles.
Throughout the day there will be a raffle with a number of prizes donated by local businesses. Organiser and assistant manager of the youth pool team, Kerry Baker, says, “Thank you to everyone who has donated a raffle prize – South of Heaven, M & H Hair Studio, Scissors, White Hart pub, the Water Meadow pub, West Country Jewellers, Bouquets and Petals, Nandos, Reiki by Cara, and 147 Club Swindon.
“Special thanks to Jamie for use of the hall and for starting the fund off with his donation. Also to the residents of Bromham for the loan of the games to make this happen.”
