Haine & Smith celebrate achievements of top staff

Haine & Smith, the independent opticians based throughout Wiltshire and the surrounding area has announced the winners of the awards they annually present to members of staff considered to have made an outstanding contribution to the success of the firm over the past year. 

‘Top Performing Practice of the Year 2018’ was awarded to the branch in Melksham, managed by Claire Taylor. As partner Gary Walters explains, “Melksham won this award for outstanding and consistent performance over a long period.  High standards of patient care and satisfaction were achieved in all areas.”

The award ‘Top Employee of the Year’ was presented by Gary Walters to practice manager Sarah West FBDO.  He says “Sarah, as well as success at building up our Calne practice, also helps with recruitment and has led optical courses for staff. In addition, Sarah willingly offers help to other practices.”

Haine & Smith opticians has awarded the title of ‘Top Optical Adviser of the Year’ to Rachel Mabbutt from their Marlborough practice. Rachel was chosen from 20 branches and out of 50 optical advisers within Haine and Smith, an independent group located throughout Wiltshire and the surrounding areas of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.  Partner Mark Saunders presented the award and he says, “Rachel, is a consistently caring and cheerful optical adviser in Marlborough and also helped in our Pewsey branch, S J Hussy opticians, at the start of its successful integration into the Haine and Smith Partnership.”  

A  special award was presented to Louise Smart, manager at Highworth, by Gary Walters who says, “Whilst managing a successful practice, Louise also worked incredibly hard at helping other practices in 2018.”

Finally, another special award was presented by Gary Walters to Dean Arnold, property manager for Haine and Smith, “for his wonderful contribution to all departments, practices and staff.”
