CURVES in Melksham hosted a coffee morning and raffle raising £414.50 in memory of member, Helen Christmas, who died last year from pancreatic cancer aged 53.
Sister-in-law Hilary Jones and Sue Armstrong, manager at Curves, organised a fundraising morning to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
The morning was held on Monday 11th February, the first anniversary of Helen’s death.
Sue said “She was a lovely member, it’s nice to remember her – all members knew who she was, she was here every morning for three years. She was taken so young, so any amount of money we can raise for the research trust will have been great.”
Hilary said, “A big thank you to anyone who came along to the coffee morning or just donated. Helen’s family are stunned at the final total.”
