Ellie’s Natural Health Centre at the Round House on Church Street, is expanding its offer of therapies, promising a bespoke service to suit all customers’ needs.
The natural health centre, owned by local businesswoman Lorraine Petty, first opened its doors at the end of July last year, offering the community the opportunity to experience therapies in the unique environment of the historic Round House. Therapies included hot stone massage therapy, aromatherapy, warm bamboo massage, and other massage treatments.
Customers can now choose from additional therapies including sound meditation and oncology massage, both of which Lorraine has recently become qualified in.
Speaking to Melksham News, Lorraine said, “It’s been going very well since I opened Ellie’s Natural Health Centre. There was been lots of positive feedback – customers have said that they have been sleeping better; have left the Round House feeling very deeply relaxed – lots of positive feedback!
“I offer a very bespoke service, I’ll consult with the customer first to find out what therapies would suit that individual, which helps to set me apart from other similar services.
“For example, one of my most popular therapies is hot stones and aromatherapy mixed together, which I call ‘aroma stone’. Customers experience aromatherapy first and then hot stones, which makes them feel more relaxed.
“Also, I’m an old school aromatherapist – I trained in 1996 and we were taught about essential oils and how to blend them. The essential oils here at Ellie’s Natural Health Centre are not pre-blended, I mix them bespokely for each customer.”
About the new treatments available at the natural health centre, Lorraine said, “I’ve recently qualified in oncology massage. This is massage for cancer patients and the technique is a very light massage. For anyone wanting to use this service, a full consultation is always undertaken to put together a plan to suit that person’s personal requirements.
“Ellie’s is also introducing a new treatment called ‘aroma sound’. Clients start the deluxe journey on a heated, memory foam couch where they experience a tailor-made aromatherapy massage with or without hot stones. Next they are covered in a heated throw whilst the healing sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs and other musical instruments lead them into a meditative bliss.
“Also on offer is a mindfulness plan, which can also be used with the sound meditation and aromatherapy.”
For Mother’s Day, Ellie’s Natural Health Centre has the perfect gift on offer for any mother in need of some relaxation- a free express Indian head massage when booked with a full body massage.
