DID you leave George Ward School in 1975 (aged 16) or 1977 (aged 18)? Or were you teaching at the school at that time? If so, you are invited to step back in time and meet former students and teachers at this summer’s grand reunion.
Organiser Diane Tandy (nee Sanders) said, “I am looking for ex-students who were in my year and remember others including Barry Rosewarne, Kevin Basting, Ian Drew, Mark Peaple, Christine McLennan, Rose Hodder and Sue Vizor.
“We held our first school reunion 20 years ago, when we were all around the age of 40 – and we met again 10 years later to celebrate our 50th birthdays. I can’t believe that we have reached (or very near to it!) another milestone – 60 years of age!
“For anyone who would like to meet up again (while we still can!) our next reunion will be held on Saturday 1st June at Melksham Liberal Club, from 7.30pm.
“You don’t need to purchase tickets, but we do need to have an idea of possible numbers in advance. It would be brilliant to see as many of you as possible, so if you are planning to come, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
“For all the girls – please let me know your name when you were at school, so we know who you are.”
