Story posted on

THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall in the coming weeks.

This Friday, 10th May, comedian, broadcaster, newspaper columnist and   author, Mark Steel is bringing his ‘Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright’ tour to the Assembly Hall.

Promoters say, “A few years ago, it seemed unlikely that the UK would vote to leave the EU; we had a reasonable opposition to the Tory Government; Donald Trump was a buffoon who surely wasn’t going to beat Hillary Clinton and Mark was living the married suburban ideal, since then it’s all gone to absolute s**t! But don’t worry as Mark thinks Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright.

“Mark’s sell-out show Who Do I Think I Am, revealed his natural father was a world backgammon champion. Now the star of Radio 4’s Mark Steel’s in Town, and newspaper columnist of the year is touring a show which is guaranteed to make the world seem even more mental than it is.”

Tickets cost £15.

On Saturday 18th May, Committed to The Blues Brothers – a show showcasing music from The Blues Brothers and The Commitments comes to Melksham for one night only.

Promoters say, “Two fantastic tribute shows, to two cult classics,  in a show of two halves, to The Commitments and The Blues Brothers.

“In this 12-piece show, prepare to be thoroughly entertained, as the show takes you back to both the music and the stories of these popular movies. Certainly not to be missed.”

Tickets cost £18.

All tickets are available from the Assembly Hall in the Market Place on 01225 709887, Melksham TIC in Church Street or visit www.melkshamtown. co.uk/assembly hall.
