The latest round of the N G Road race championships was held at Anglesey on 10th-11th of August and Travis Vince from Broughton Gifford notched up three podiums.
He competed in the N G Cup championship 250cc races on his T Z 250cc Yamaha and after qualifying, was third fastest in the N G Cup class and finished in third place in his first race.
In his second race he made a good start and led the N G Cup class on lap one out of eight. He was unchallenged and won the race in a time of 10 minutes 20.97 seconds and a speed of 71.88mph and he also set the fastest lap of the race in a time of 1 minute 15.62 seconds and a speed of 73.76 mph.
In his third race he again led from start to finish and set the fastest lap of the race in the early stages, then went even faster with a lap time of 1 minute 15.27 and a speed of 74.12 mph in the closing stages and crossed the finish line 4.22 seconds ahead of current N G Cup championship leader, Nigel Palmer, also on a TZ 250cc Yamaha.
Travis is currently in fourth place in this season’s N G Cup championship and looking forward to the next round at his local circuit of Castle Combe between the 31st of August -1st of September.
