THE White Hart in Atworth is hosting live music and a ‘Charity Cyclothon’ in the coming weeks for all the community to enjoy.
On Sunday 23rd February, The Elton John Experience will be performing at the White Hart.
Organisers say, “Get ready to touch down on planet Elton! The Elton John Experience brings you all the Rocket Man’s greatest hits, including such favourites as ‘Your Song’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘I’m Still Standing’, and ‘Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting’.
“Featuring Mark Stewart as Elton, on lead vocals and piano, with Jon on bass, Perry on drums and James on guitar.
“Mark has been performing as Elton since 2010, performing across the South-west and beyond. With several flamboyant costume-changes, this fun-packed show is sure to get you singing and dancing along to the classic songs from this giant of popular music.”
The Elton John Experience perform from 5pm to 7pm.
On Saturday 7th March, the White Hart will be hosting their ‘Charity Cyclothon’ to raise money for Wiltshire Mind. This year they have set themselves the challenge of cycling 1,000 miles on static exercise bikes in 12 hours. There will also be a luxury hamper raffle.
Organisers say, “Are you game? Support, cycle donate! Suggested donation of £1 to cycle – and there is a smaller bike available for kids too.”
The event runs from 8am to 8pm. To celebrate the hopefully successful ‘Charity Cyclothon’, Modern Vintage will be performing from 8.30pm.
Organisers say, “Modern Vintage is a four-piece covers band based in Melksham who play classic rock, pop, soul, blues and reggae covers from the fifties to the present day.”
