THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall in the coming weeks.
On Saturday 14th March, Powerhouse Gospel Choir will be raising the roof at the Assembly Hall.
Promoters say, “Powerhouse Gospel Choir is a team of well-seasoned singers and musicians that have gospel at their core and several years’ experience in the international music business.
“Many of our singers honed their skills as choir singers and soloists whilst in The London Community Gospel Choir, and have since gone on to work as backing vocalists and vocal technicians with some of the world’s biggest artists such as Quincy Jones, Dave Gahan, Pharrell Williams, Blur, Sam Smith and Classical Brit Award Winner Tokio Myers to name a few.”
Tickets cost £18 and the show starts at 7.30pm.
On Friday 20th March, popular local band The Female of the Species will be performing at the Melksham Mayor’s Civic Reception – and you can see them too!
The band is fronted by Charmaigne Andrews, Jules Morton of Train to Skaville, Nicky Davis of the Reason, Julia Greenland of Soulville Express and Claire Perry of Big Mama’s Banned.

On Saturday 4th April, tribute band Faux Fighters will get the crowd rocking. Promoters say, “Quite possibly the finest Foo Fighters tribute out there, Faux Fighters really bring the look and feel of Dave Grohl’s world-conquering crew, plus all of their best tunes. Support comes from Jimmy Ate World, a tribute to emo/post-hardcore favourites Jimmy Eat World.”
