VCW have over 1500 volunteering opportunities within Wiltshire, helping local groups make a difference and address the needs within their community. Here are just a few opportunities within the local area:
Driver Volunteers: Wiltshire Link Scheme are looking for Volunteer Drivers who can use their own vehicle (at no additional cost to themselves) to transport local people to and from medical appointments, visiting friends or hospital, as requested by the Link coordinator.
Volunteer Advisor : Wiltshire Citizens Advice Bureau are looking for advisors to provide information and advice to clients on a wide range of topics including: debt, benefits, employment, housing, family, and consumer in one of their offices in Chippenham, Trowbridge or Devizes.
Volunteer Cat Fosterer : Cat’s Action Trust are looking for volunteers to provide temporary accommodation to stray, abandoned or injured cats and kittens in a Trust owned, purpose built pen in their own garden or in a suitably adapted room in the home.
Appropriate Adult Volunteer: County Community Projects are looking for volunteers to act as Appropriate Adults supporting young people and/or vulnerable adults with mental health or learning difficulties while in Police Custody and ensure their rights are being met.
Volunteer Centre Wiltshire also have details of various gardening, environmental, befriending, mentoring, administration, IT and many other roles.
