SEMINGTON based charity Carer Support Wiltshire is pleased to announce the achievement of a significant quality standard for charities.
The local charity has been awarded the Level 2 PQASSO Quality Mark by Charities Evaluation Services following an extensive audit of the governance, management and quality control procedures throughout the organisation. PQASSO is the leading quality standard developed for the third sector and reinforces a charity’s credibility for all stakeholders, including service users, commissioners and partners.
Diana Finch, business manager at Carer Support Wiltshire said, “Over the last two years, we have worked hard to embed continuous improvement into our services, by listening to carers, staff, volunteers and external stakeholders, and reflecting on that learning as we develop our services. We have overhauled our use of information technology so that we can better understand the impact of the services we deliver on people’s lives, and we’ve changed our working practices, training and policies to make sure that as a team we all work as effectively as possible, with carers at the heart of all we do.”
Catharine Hurford, acting CEO at Carer Support Wiltshire said, ‘‘Achieving this award has taken a huge amount of hard work by staff, trustees and volunteers. But we are not resting on our laurels: we will build on this achievement and continue to grow and develop as a quality provider of services and support for carers in Wiltshire.’’
