Local writer publishes newest book ‘Gold, Silver and Bombs’

Melksham author Ted Tayler has had his sixth book published on Amazon.

This is the second book in the series featuring ‘The Phoenix’. Set against the backdrop of the London Olympics, ‘Gold, Silver, and Bombs’ follows agents from The Olympus Project as they bring swift closure for victims of criminals who appear above and beyond the law. This book is already collecting an impressive selection of reviews:

‘Another fast-paced, riveting novel with a descriptive and unforgettable cast’

‘Ted is clever at creating atmospheric settings, clever twists mixed with reality to make his books plausible and entertaining’

‘The location descriptions and credible characters only add to the thrill, and the enticing mood will stay with you for days. It’s easy to picture each scene, not only through outstanding story-telling, but convincing dialogue’

‘Ted certainly knows how to hold a reader’s attention. It wouldn’t surprise me if this book found itself in the forefront of a long standing film series with people clambering for a front seat!’

Ted has been working with BooksGoSocial for the past year; a book promotion site that provides support to thousands of writers across the world.

He said, “It’s a terrific community of writers, reviewers and bloggers. The members range from authors with several best sellers, to those who are still looking to publish their first book.

“I’ve had tips and advice from one of Amazon’s Top Reviewers, my website has been completely overhauled in order to get the maximum impact for my books. My Amazon book pages and Author Page have also been upgraded. I’ve learned how, when and what to tweet to my Twitter followers. Every now and then I find time to write!

“The reality for an indie writer is that it’s about 10% writing to 90% marketing your work via social media. Every day you learn another skill. Either that or you just stand still.

“The next two months will be spent promoting ‘Gold, Silver, and Bombs’, then ‘Conception’ – a re-worked compilation of my first two Colin Bailey novels will be on sale at 99 pence. It’s a chance for new readers to catch up with the man who became ‘The Phoenix’. Then it will be straight on to Book 3 in the series ‘Nothing Is Ever Forever’ that will be published in December.”
