ATWORTH WI joined the nationwide campaign ‘Clean for the Queen’ and took to the streets to clear up their village.
WI member Pat Ruffell said, “Atworth WI usually keep Atworth tidy, working as village caretaker, but today nine members added a special ‘group litter-pick’ for the Clean for the Queen campaign.
“We met at the Village Institute Hall and from there spread out for an hour to gather five bags of rubbish. Working together lightened the task and gave us the satisfaction of seeing our village sparkle in the sunshine.”
