BOWERHILL School celebrate its 25th anniversary this year so to mark the occasion, the school fete is going to be bigger and better than ever.
It will take place on Friday 10th June from 6-8.30pm and there’s so much going on’ says PTA chair, Tina Kimmitt.
“We’ve got an assault course, bungee run, disco dome, football shoot out and inflatable gladiators!” she said. “There will also be trampolines, a coconut shy and mini quad bikes to play on. And we’ve hired even more inflatables than usual to help us celebrate.
“Each school year will be running a stall or tombola, selling cakes or playing games with a chance to win great prizes and some of the children will also be showing off their skills in the performance area. In the hall there will be a chance to look around lots of visiting stalls and get some refreshments. There will also be a bar, BBQ, ice creams, a sweet stall and candy floss.
“All proceeds will go towards paying for the new outdoor classroom we are creating with a fabulous, 7.5 metre umbrella canopy and coloured tables underneath. The PTA have been saving all year and hope to have enough proceeds from the fête to complete the project.
“It’s going to be a brilliant evening. We usually see over 1,100 people come through the gates so we hope to see even more this year!”
