Philomel Singers at St Michael’s Church

THE Philomel Singers will be performing at St Michael and All Angels Church in Melksham on Saturday 2nd July at  7.30pm.

The group of female singers present their concert, ‘Flying Free’ in aid of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. The programme will include a wide range of genres, from gospel to modern, so there is something for everyone.

Also appearing are The Wiltshire Sinfonia Orchestra who will be playing two Bach violin concertos.

The Philomel Singers perform at three or four concerts every year to raise money for local and national charities and are proud to have raised over £30,000 to date. Recent beneficiaries include Julia’s House, The Royal British Legion, Children’s Hospice South West, Dorothy House, and Help for Heroes.

This will be a free concert with a retiring collection. Refreshments will be available during the interval and all profits will go to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The choir is looking forward to performing in Melksham and welcoming a full church on the night to enjoy an entertaining evening of music and song.

If you would like further information about the concert, the choir, and indeed details of how to join, please see www.philomeltrowbridge.co.uk  or contact their Secretary, Fiona Wood, at philomel@btinternet.com or telephone  01373 858878.
