AWARD-winning images from this year’s Underwater Photographer of the Year competition are on display at the Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock Abbey from Saturday 16th July to 11th September.
Created by some of the most talented underwater photographers from across the world, the photographs in the exhibition are quirky, colourful and surprising.
Speaking about the winning images, Callum Roberts, Professor of Marine Conservation at the University of York said, “This magnificent collection of photographs celebrates life in the sea in all its diversity, splendour and sheer mind-bending oddity.”
Marine conservation is one of the drivers behind the Underwater Photographer of the Year competition, and the organisers hope that by drawing attention to the beauty of the underwater world, more people will realise how important it is to protect it.
The Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock Abbey is open to visitors throughout the year. National Trust members and under 5s go free. For more information visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk
