Friends launch new business venture and you are invited to join

IF you love reading books, talking about books and everything else related to books, then the Book Box Club is for you.

The Book Box Club is an online monthly subscription company and book group for readers of young adult fiction. The new venture was started by self-confessed book geek Kate Morris-Double from Melksham and her friend Libby Harris, who wanted to share their obsession with reading with other book lovers, and to encourage young people to fall in love with books as unashamedly as they have.

Kate explains more; “Each month, Book Box Club members will receive a gift-wrapped, brand new young adult book release chosen for its sheer brilliance, an invitation to our top-secret monthly online book club, hand-picked goodies created by crafty types and exclusive author content to bring readers closer to the brains behind the books.

“To become a member (or to sign up a friend or loved-one) head to www.bookboxclub.com and choose between a one, three or six month subscription package. Then, in September, the real fun begins: you will receive your very first box of bookish goodies and after you’ve had a chance to read the book you can meet fellow book lovers online in a members-only book group to share thoughts, recommendations and questions about the book of the month.”

The girls met working as booksellers at award-winning independent bookshop Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights in Bath. Kate has twice been shortlisted for the young bookseller of the year award and was named as one of the Bookseller Magazine’s Rising Stars of 2014. Libby is a Young Adult book expert, who has also written a novel for young adults.
