The ‘Khaos’ group will perform a team routine
A GROUP of young dancers from Melksham will be auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent this week after being scouted at a competition in Wales recently.
Eight girls from 4Stars Dance will be heading to Cardiff on Friday to perform in front of TV cameras and compete to make it to the live stages of ITV’s popular talent show.
Mollie Robinson, Rihana Ogbourne, Jess Williams, Megan Dodd, Connie Hillier and Lainey Butler, all aged 14, Maeve Harryman, 15, and nine year-old Lilia Ashman will all be making the trip.
The girls, who were spotted when they won the Welsh Open Dance Championship recently, will compete in a mix of solo, duet, and team acts.
The girls’ dance coach, Emma-Jane Chivers told Melksham News, “I am so proud of the girls and will definitely be going with them on Friday! They are all excited and have been asking me millions of questions, which shows they’re nervous too.
“They have been competing since they were very young, and have been to national finals and smaller south west competitions, but this is the first time they’ve been scouted for something so big.
“Each of the acts has a routine already rehearsed, which are a mix of student choreography and my own.
“I’ve told them to treat it like a show and not let their nerves get the better of them. I never expect anything other than their best and they know this.
“I’m so proud of my girls. They all work so hard and it’s lovely when they get the recognition they deserve. Watching them perform and progress each time makes me so happy. They are all stars.”
