Police seeking information over dog attack

MELKSHAM Neighbourhood Policing Team is seeking information regarding a dog attack that took place at 8:45am on Sunday 11th September in a field off of Westlands Lane in Beanacre.

A small border terrier was set upon by what is believed to be a sandy coloured Staffie cross. The owner of the border terrier was also badly bitten by the suspect dog causing injuries to both that need ongoing medical attention.

It is essential that we identify this dog and its owner so as to ensure that there are measures taken to prevent such an incident happening again.

The owner of the suspect dog has been described as a white male in his 30’s with fair hair and about 5’9″ tall. This male refused to pass any details and fled the scene.
