Charity cards and Christmas trips with tourist information

MELKSHAMTourist Information Centre has got its annual charity Christmas cards back on the shelves as the festive season approaches.

Once again the information centre on Church Street has a huge range of cards on sale from different charities, as well as stamps and small gifts.

“Yes, it’s that time again!” said volunteer and mayor of Melksham, Terri Welch. “Unlike many other charity cards, the vast majority of the selling price of all our cards goes to the charities involved and we have 33 different charities.

“We also have a range of gifts and local cards, including fridge magnets of Melksham. Come in and browse – you will be surprised at what you find!

“Also, in conjunction with the Melksham Community Bus, we have some lovely trips organised for Christmas markets and all those last minute presents.

“Tell all your friends about these trips; we need at least 12 people to stop us having to cancel.  Please note that you do not have to live in Melksham, to come on these trips, and we can take at least 16 on all our days out.

“A list of these is in the Tourist Information Centre where you can buy tickets. Also note we are agents for National Express and also take bookings and tickets for local shows at the Assembly Hall.”
