A MELKSHAM martial arts school will be completing a five-hour non-stop training session for Children in Need next weekend.
Elite Martial Arts will hold the special event on Saturday 26th November at Forest and Sandridge Primary School from 1pm, and is asking people to pop along and donate towards the annual nationwide fundraiser.
Coach Mike Cruse says, “We will be sparring, doing set patterns, and pad work in half-hour rotating exercises for five hours. The routines are a mix of tae kwon do, kickboxing and self defence.
“There are 15 of us taking part ranging in age from eight to about 40, plus me in my 50s! I’m looking forward to it; it’ll be the first time we’ve done something like this. The students will definitely have a sweat on, but if they pace themselves they’ll be fine.
“We’d love for people to come along and watch for five minutes and drop some change in the collection bucket for a great cause.”
Elite Martial Arts is a training academy that set up last year and runs regular classes at Forest and Sandridge School. Mike, the trainer, is a third Dan black belt in tae kwon do.
