Promote your voluntary group at Melksham Community Day event

ALL local voluntary groups are invited to join Melksham &District Senior Forum in a Melksham Community Day event, which will be held on Saturday 22nd April in Melksham Assembly Hall.

Groups are invited to have a stand (free of charge) to promote their group to the Melksham and district wider community.

Brian Warwick, who leads the Senior Forum said, “The key aim of the Melksham Community Day is to provide an excellent opportunity for our local social and voluntary groups to show what they provide and to encourage support and participation from local people.

“Tables are going fast so book up asap to avoid disappointment!

“The event is being hosted by Melksham & District Senior Forum, supported by Melksham Town Council and Melksham Without Parish Council.

“Far too often we hear people making statements like “I am bored, there is nothing to do”.    Yet those of us that are active in the community know that is far from the truth. The Seniors believe we need to work in closer partnership to get the message out to those who are so often lonely and depressed, that Melksham is a great community with a tremendous amount going on and we want you to come along and join us.

“Please pass our invitation on to your members, friends and neighbours that this a great opportunity to promote the smallest to the largest community organisation in Melksham, and to focus on improving our own and others quality of life.

“Please do ensure that you book your table as early as possible, as you will appreciate space is limited and a table will be allocated on a first-booked basis.

“Please do let us have your booking form or at least an expression of interest by April 11th,  a confirmation of the space reserved for your group will be forwarded to you by the 18th April.

“If you could also let us have a short write up about your group (up to 100 words) and any appropriate photograph no later than  April 6th, it would help us to also promote the excellent role you play in our community.

“We look forward to your support, there will be more publicity will be in the next edition of the Melksham News.”
