Let’s bring back the Sunday night social!

LOOKING for something to do on a Sunday evening? Then the Kings Arms is the place for you.

New managers Sam Wells and Stewart Hodgson have launched a monthly Quiz Night on the last Sunday of the month and an Acoustic Open Mic Night on the first Sunday of the month.

The first quiz is next Sunday, 30th April from 8pm.

“The quiz night is back and will be a regular event on the last Sunday of every month,” said Sam.

“We’ll have different rounds, including picture and musical name that tune rounds as well as film/TV, general knowledge and a mystery round.

“It’s £2 entry and you can have up to six people on a team. First prize – open ended cash prize (dependant on attendance); second prize is a £20 voucher to spend at The Kings Arms; third prize is a £10 voucher to spend at The Kings Arms

“Come and test your knowledge and have a great night out!

“It’s only £2 entry with all proceeds going to the winning team.”

The Acoustic Nights kick off with the Decibelles on Sunday 7th May.

“Hosts The DeciBelles will sing a selection of classics, and will ‘jukebox’ it with requests from the audience.

“Then over the next few months, we’ll showcase some of the local singer songwriters. So if you’re interested in performing, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re not interested in performing, and just want to listen, we’d still love to see you!

“Our acoustic night will do what it says on the tin,” added Sam. “Vocalists and acoustic guitar, music stripped back to its basics for you to enjoy and relax to. Who doesn’t want to spend a warm sunny Sunday evening listening to some fantastic music and having a cheeky beverage or two? Let’s bring the Sunday social back!”
