A TALK about Capability Brown’s landscapes was enjoyed by Melksham Gardeners’ Society on 31st October.
“Our guest speaker was the wonderful Dawn Collins, who showed us how the gardens were linked and how to spot typical Capability ‘tricks’ that were used in landscaping – an informative, interesting and enjoyable talk, accompanied by personal slides by a very lovely and funny speaker.
“The next meeting to which new members and guests are very welcome to attend will be on Tuesday 30th January 2018 – I know, we are talking about 2018 already! The talk will be ‘Who’s Living in your Soil?’ presented by Tom Hartley from the Soil Association. With our heavy clay soil, we know we all have slugs and snails, but what else is there? Please come along and find out.”
New members and guests are always welcome. Entry is £1 for members and £2 for guests. Annual membership is £10.00. For more information call 01225 702716 or email: melksham_ gardeners@live.co.uk
