Just when you thought panto season was over, Melksham Music and Drama (MMAD) are about to delight you with their new production.
They are excited about presenting Rapunzel the Pantomime, written by Bradford and Webster. The story is of a beautiful young girl with long golden hair who is locked away in a tower by an evil witch. Enter a dashing Prince and his loyal companion to save her with the help of a good fairy. Throw in a hairdresser, two bumbling nit wits, jokes, slapstick, great songs and dances, this will make you smile and laugh out loud. A traditional story with a twist or two along the way which is set in a more contemporary style. Join MMAD and let them entertain you.
Rehearsals are well under way and as always there is so much more than learning lines. Dances have to be choreographed and taught, songs to learn, scenery to be built and costumes to make. Members of MMAD dedicate their time to put their shows together, they love to entertain, so keep a note of the panto dates and come along and have some fun. Donna Ruderman is directing the show and does an excellent job of keeping everyone on track,
The dates are 9th, 10th and 15th, 16th and 17th February at the Rachel Fowler Centre, Market Place, Melksham. SN12 6EX. Evening performances start at 7.30pm with matinees on both Saturdays starting at 2.30pm.
