Melksham hosted the re-arranged game, under lights, on Friday evening.
The hosts made a strong start with two tries in quick succession; the first to Luke Cador from quick ball out to the winger; the second, off a line out ball passed out and then back in for Hooker Brad Wilkins to score. Supermarine battled on and got onto the board with a penalty to close the half 10-3.
The second half saw the visitors rally and they contested strongly for territory and procession. Pressure brought a ball on the ground, fly hacked on twice as the home defence failed to collect the ball for Supermarine to score and get within two points.
The momentum was with Supermarine going into the last quarter and a strong driving maul got them over the Melksham line again to lead by 3 points. Melksham were unable to construct a response and the win went to the buoyant visitors; the home team gaining a losing bonus point in the match.
