Snowdrop event raises thousands for Dorothy House

DOROTHY House Hospice Care’s 10th annual Snowdrop Open Garden event at Great Chalfield Manor raised over £2,600 for the charity.

Over 330 people attended the event last month to explore the gardens and enjoy the display of snowdrops.

Yvonne Brunton, community fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care said, “It was a great event with an excellent turn out and we have raised significant funds to support the provision of care by the hospice for our patients, their families and carers.

“May I thank everyone who came along to enjoy the snowdrops and particularly our volunteers, without whom we couldn’t run the event.  We were delighted to read the positive feedback on the event on our Facebook page from a number of happy visitors.”

A popular National Trust property, Great Chalfield Manor has been in the public eye lately since appearing in BBC TV dramas, Poldark and Wolf Hall.
