Shaw & Whitley WI

OUR President, Sylvia, welcomed us all to the A.G.M. The meeting started with the singing of Jerusalem.  Our W.I. county advisor Mrs Lesley Holdway from Broughton Gifford was a guest.

The minutes from the 2017 A.G.M. were read and signed. Geradine read the correspondence.

We have many future events to look forward to,  organised by Wiltshire Federation as well a varied selection of speakers for our own W.I.  Anne our treasurer presented the financial statement.

Geraldine then gave us an excellent annual report. We have enjoyed many interesting speakers, enjoyed trips to gardens and taken part in workshops and various federation events. Our annual meal at Shaw Country Hotel was first class, as always.

The president then gave her report, thanking her committee and the members for their continued support. Carol thanked her for all she has done over the year,

Lesley then gave a short talk about the County Federation and was thanked by Sylvia. We then had some social time playing beetle and handbag bingo!! Very different but very amusing.

The evening was finished off with tea, coffee and biscuits. Mrs Holdway won the raffle.
