Ken Bray of Avon Bowls Club said, “Special thanks must go to McCarthy & Stone for the generous raffle prizes, including a very welcome hamper.

“Thanks must also go to men’s captain of Avon, Malcolm Hole, for all his hard work preparing for the game and Shirley West and Sylvia Crabbe for preparing and serving a fantastic meal after the game.

“Thanks to the bar staff and other members who turned up to help. It was a good day, marvellous weather, with many friendships renewed and new ones made.”
