Getting ready to Party in the Park

This year’s Melksham Party in the Park’s arena acts and side stalls are now being booked for the event, which will take place on Saturday 21st July.

Bruce Burry said, “In the arena, we have the new-look Devizes new male majorettes, Melksham’s In2dance troupe, Elite martial arts and M.A.D – a mountain bike aerial display team who have some of UK’s top riders including former world and British champions who will amaze you with jumps, spins, hops, and tricks.

“We have side shows from the Parrots Rescue Team and Ferret World Roadshow, where you will have a chance to try to out-run the ferrets. Also, there will be a unique mobile caving system will be erected in the park, offering a challenging and fun experience to all ages. Cavers will be provided with a helmet and head torch to explore the exciting tunnels and realistic cave features. There will also be segways, inflatables, children’s rides, tasty food and the Box Stream Brewery bar.

“On stage we have a full and varied line up from The PSG choir (pop, soul, gospel) to our head-lining act The Bootleg Bee Gees, the number one tribute to the legendary super group.

“For the first time this year we will have a Friday evening event, ParkFest, on 20th July, with music from The Oasis Experience and support band Local Heroes.

“Advance tickets can be bought for £10 plus a small booking fee from www.ticketsource/parkfest or £10 from Cobblers Bench, Melksham Tourist Information Centre, Kingstons Estate Agents and Autoline garage in Spa Road. Tickets sold on the evening will cost £12. Gates open 6.30pm.

“Please note that entrance payment to Melksham Party in the Park, on Saturday 21st July, will be on the day only.”
