PUPILS in years 3 and 4 at Forest and Sandridge School spent the day with local author and illustrator, Mark Robertson, learning how to draw dragons.
Mark has illustrated a variety of children’s books. He has also written picture books including the best-selling Egg series.
Helen Biles-Wood, deputy headteacher said, “It was a fantastic experience for the children to work so closely with an author like Mark. The day started with an exciting assembly, learning about Mark’s journey as an author and all the children listened to some of his brilliant stories.
“Throughout the day, Mark worked with middle school children to teach them how to draw dragons. The pictures were amazing and the children were totally enthralled by the whole experience.
“At the end of the day, Mark did a book signing for children, to finish off a fantastic day.”
