The children of St. Mary’s Primary School in Broughton Gifford raised over £300 for Children in Need last week.
Students raised money by holding a cake sale, dressing in yellow and in spots, and by creating a mural of the Children in Need mascot, Pudsey, out of donated silver and copper coins.
Teaching assistant Hayley Gardyj said, “Children in Need helps children facing a range of disadvantages and every year, Broughton Gifford primary school is dedicated in raising awareness and well-needed funds for this great cause.
“The children and I worked hard to create the large Pudsey bear face using the donated coins. Including the cake sale, the school raised £305.72 for Children in Need this year. Special thanks for the continued support to fellow teaching assistant Cath Bridge, parent/ helper Gina Cottle and headteacher, Mrs Orchard, for their ongoing support during our fundraising events.”
