STAFF at Melksham’s vaccination centre are encouraging the community to book their Covid booster jabs.
They have also said that they are now vaccinating eligible patients aged 12 to 15 years old.
On behalf of the Melksham and Bradford on Avon Primary Care Network (PCN), Dr Abby Burgess said, “Getting a booster vaccine is the best thing you can do to protect yourself and loved ones from getting seriously unwell with Covid both now and in the future as new variants emerge.
“Spencer’s in Melksham continues to offer Covid vaccines and has plenty of availability.
“Please do book on the National Booking Service: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination; or walk into one of our regular clinics.
“Information on clinic dates can be found on the ‘Grab a jab’ website: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/find-a-walk-in-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-site
“We are open for all 12 to 15 year olds for first and second vaccine doses.
“If you are 12 to 15 years old, it’s a 3 month gap between first and second doses. If you have had Covid you’ll need to wait 3 months after your positive test.
“New government guidance now allows 16-17 year olds to get their booster 3 months after their second dose. Please book as soon as you can whilst availability is plentiful.”

• Thursday 20th January 18:30-20:30
