THE Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) picnic area team have been working hard throughout the year maintaining and constantly improving the picnic area and the bridlepath from Bowerhill village for benefit of local residents.

“This peaceful and tranquil retreat has become more and more important since the covid pandemic, offering residents and visitors somewhere to enjoy fresh air whilst quietly sitting to view some wildlife,” says the group. “Numerous benches and seats are available for a quiet sit down amongst flowers and trees. Picnic benches with barbecue plinths are also available for those wishing to take a longer break from busy life.”
Part of the team pictured, sporting their new dayglo jackets with the BRAG logo, are preparing the facility for autumn after the challenges of the summer heatwave. These dedicated volunteers tend to the site most Tuesdays from April to October.
“If you are passing, give us a friendly hello,” adds the group. “Alternatively, if you would like to offer your services to help out, to make a donation, or to offer some spare plants then please contact BRAG via our Facebook at Bowerhill Residents Action Group.”
