HELP keep Melksham tidy and join a group of volunteers picking up litter around the town as part of the Great British Spring Clean on Sunday 2nd April or on the Town Tidy days which are held on the first Sunday of each month.
The Great British Spring Clean will run from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday 2nd April, starting at the town hall in the Market Place.
The Great British Spring Clean is a national initiative that is now in its eighth year, encouraging people to pick up litter around their communities.
A spokesperson at Melksham Town Council said, “If you can’t make the Sunday, you can join the Great British Spring Clean between 17th March and 2nd April. Pick up equipment and bags from the town hall any time during these dates and bring rubbish back to the town hall to be collected.”
Residents can also get involved in Town Tidy Days, where a group of volunteers meet on the first Sunday of the month at 1 to 3pm, at the town hall, to pick up litter around the area. For more information about this contact Melksham Town Council on 01225 704187.
