MEMBERS of The Melksham Writers’ Group, have joined forces to write their first collection of short stories and poems, entitled ‘The Identity Anthology’.
Set for launch in the next few months, ‘The Identity Anthology’ will be available through the Amazon Kindle website, as well as a limited run of self-published paperbacks, kindly sponsored by local businesses, which will be sold at the Melksham Comic-Con being held at the assembly hall on 31st August and the Bristol Comic and Zine Fair on 5th October.
Wayne Turner and Sarah Durden founded the group in January 2012. Wayne said, “I am so proud of what the group has accomplished and we cannot wait to see it go on sale for the whole world to read.
“The Identity Anthology came about from a concept that I was working on, so I decided it would be a fantastic idea if we could work on something similar that would enable us to identity our strengths and weaknesses, at the same time as pushing ourselves to finish something by a strict deadline and to a high standard. As a group, we have done just that and I am excited about what we have achieved here.”
Originally from Chelmsford Essex, Wayne moved to Melksham in October 2011 and founded the Writers’ Group with his girlfriend at the start of 2012. ‘The Identity Anthology’ The eBook will launch in late July / early August.
Details of the eBook and group can be found on the Writers’ Group Facebook group ‘MelkshamWriters’.
