CHARITY shop volunteer, Julie Cannings, has raised over £200 for Dorothy House by shaving her head.
With her hair the longest it had been in over 10 years, a nervous Julie, who gives her time to the Dorothy House furniture shop, faced the hair clippers in front of a crowd of family and friends earlier this month.
Before going completely bald, Julie took the time to have some fun, styling her hair into a mohican before Graham Griffiths from Griff’s barber shop shaved off her remaining hair.
About her new look Julie said, “It’s cold! I never thought that I would be wearing a bobble hat in September!
“I would like to say thank you to everyone who came to show their support. Also a big thank you to Griff who left a queue of people waiting at his barber shop to come along and shave my head.”
