MELKSHAM could have a new skate park within a year as plans for new facilities move forward.
It was announced at the recent Melksham Area Board meeting by Wiltshire Council that the existing skate park near Waitrose could be replaced with a new one within a year.
Jonathon Seed, Wiltshire councillor and cabinet member for communities, campuses, area boards, leisure, libraries and flooding said, “The skate park is ally to the development of the campus and is moving forward. I have every hope that within a year a renovated skate park on the same site will be in place.
“The equipment that is at the current skate park will be re-used in surrounding villages who have a need for it.”
