Are you involved with a local community group? Would you welcome new members? There is an exciting new initiative being launched early next year to help local community groups connect with potential new members.
The project aims to introduce older residents experiencing loneliness or isolation with local organisations which can offer friendship, support and activities.
Postcards will be sent out to households in early 2019 encouraging them to get in touch with Carers Support Wiltshire who are coordinating the project in partnership with Wiltshire Council. “We need your details now so we can help provide a soft introduction for both parties and remove much of the fear when joining a new group of strangers.
