The new bowls season is almost here, and Broughton Gifford Bowls Club plan to open the green on Wednesday 10thApril, from 6.00pm-7.30pm.
The club states, “This is an ideal opportunity to have a little practice before our first friendly game the following Wednesday. New and experienced bowlers are invited to come along to our green and clubhouse, which is situated behind the Bell on the Common public house. Everyone can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The game is equally suitable for both ladies and gentlemen; many of our members are husbands and wives. Advice and guidance will be on hand, we are only too willing to help. All we ask is that flat soled footwear is worn. Other equipment can be supplied on the same evening if required.”
